Indika Wijewardana is a multidisciplinary artist whose journey defies convention and celebrates creative reinvention. From interior design and statistics to photography and travel, Indika’s life path has been anything but ordinary. However, amidst this rich mosaic of experiences, it was art—especially hyperrealistic pencil drawing—that revealed itself as his true calling.

Though initially guided toward mathematics and engineering, Indika found himself disenchanted by academic life. His passion for artistic expression soon took over, leading him to explore visual storytelling with relentless dedication. What began as an unassuming pursuit soon evolved into a career that would earn him recognition on both local and international stages.

Indika’s signature style—hyperrealistic graphite portraits—was shaped by icons such as Andy Warhol, Paul Cadden, and Pablo Picasso. Their influence helped him develop a unique voice that blends emotional depth with technical precision. His celebrated wildlife series Whiskers firmly established him in Sri Lanka’s contemporary art scene and opened doors to global opportunities, including exhibitions in Dubai.
